AFGHAN Update

Hey- just thought I would update you all- Wifi and Comms has been what I thought it would be- a little nightmare- was really weird not to be able to have any access for by phone or internet- here- being cut off from theoutside world... didnt like it. If the phones are working- you know that they STINK with the connection. There is a computer in the in the office that I have at my desk and obvious daility access- still FB is allowed but for  security  every page I must put a "s" at the end of http...making it https. Anyway...every page every click you get an denial and then you put an "s" can we say PIA...pain in the butt....we have computers at the joint MWR/ morale welfare recreation...the prob- lets see limited numbers- limited time... lost of people and big lines.... so- since I have access to a system- I feel selfish is I get on one... so I dont. This blog is not allowed to be accessed in the office- so I have had to wait for WIFI connection or someone that had it. You should know this week I was able to post my past 30 days of pics....well after that- the wifi has been down... its a work in progress here- I got it... Im in a wat torn country in teh NW aspect in the mountains of Afghanistan- what do I expect? Not much. Lets get real- for many years- no wifi possibilites- we are the first- these first 3 days... we went live- LOTS of problems and RUDE americans wanting BRIGHTHOUSE here... lol.

Chritsmas was great- actually- I spent it wiht the Croations on their side of the camp- had a midnight christams eve service- awesome experience- very passionate men- they even cook! We had a fabulous BBQ outside after mass- a large fire and plenty of singing...and they were drinking... we AMERCICANS are not allowed to drink at all- and so AT All this theorder-and I am fine with that...smeone needs to stay sober around all these men away from home! Im it! designator walker/ runner! lol

Still this gave me an opportunity to meet and greet and "peace be with you" in any language was understood. Now I see many of them- and they smile ans speak to me... makes my groundhog day a little brighter.

Work and the Hospital- what can say... It is definitely a umbling expereince... but good- my department really wants to RUN better- and get some organization... I am also working on their PPE protective equipment- and basic needs for decreasing chance of infections... to them as well as others...

These stores will have to be left face to face- or when I post pics it will say it all i fyou know my world...I can not load pics here today/night my time because I have snail connection- but its a connection out of the cold chilly night and the crowd at the MWR.

I appreciate all  your support and continued interest... ps- Mr Jingles is no longer with us- and he never made it to Mickey Mouse land in Orlando... cheese anyone? Lol.
