Chi Naw ast?

Chi Na ast? Stands for Whats new?  (in Daree) the Afghanistan language I am painstakinly trying to learn... anyway... so whats new with me...

Well I have had my intel briefings on how to be briefed! Lol. Today I went to my first SECRET intel. It was pretty interesting... thought I was part of s secret soriety. Anyway- for obvious reasons cant say anything... but I will say I didnt GET any warm fuzzies...

Anyway... I am getting ready for my four day off for Holiday Columbus Day. My sister is coming to visit me in sunny NOWHERE. Should be fun... we will find something to do... what ever SISSY's do together. Ill keep you posted. No guessing.

So we had a class party this past weekend and it was a great BBQ where we got to get along...we are planning a halloween party when we return. We also- get back from the holiday and we get to go to the field to quailfy with are small arms... oh... should I tell them I already qualified as Expert?  Nah!

So hopefully I have a good time. I am not looking forward to the class convoy to the field without our instructors. Just using the maps and stuff...and radios with the the military GPS system... because I am the TC in one of the vehicles... way to much to know... Good news I am not the lead Humvee. Whew!
Oh well- it will look good on my 60 day review I take with me... also the title of Medical Officer- as there is only two nurses in our class... I am one- and the other happens to be most Senior and is our class leader... and yes- we have people that have medical needs. *Did I ever mention that we have had a few class mates bitten my spiders in their bed... has not been pretty- they needed antibiotics... not to mention my SMALL POX injection site... is the absolutely most discusting thing I have ever had happen to my body.  OK- enough of that. But... yeah- UGLY

Hope all is well with everyone. I will be working on my WHAT i need/ like list- as for my FOB in Afghanistan- is going to be SO limited. I do have my new address- just waiting to get closer so you all dont overwhelm my counterpart before I get there as she would be the one holding it for me.
